Timeline Overview Layout
Can I Change the Layout or Reorder the Elements in the Timeline Overview?
No. The Overview tab is a specialized component built to handle complex calculations, so its core structure and layout are fixed.
You cannot move the existing elements around within the standard Overview. However, QuoteX provides two options for creating a view that better matches your team's requirements:
- Customize the More Details tab using the Salesforce Quote Page Layout.
- Build a completely custom view using the Build Your Own Feature (BYOF) tool.
Important: The standard Timeline Overview should not be modified to rearrange its existing elements. Use More Details or BYOF when you need a different presentation.
Option 1: Customize the More Details Tab
When Should I Use the More Details Tab?
If your goal is to see specific fields in a different order, use the More Details tab located next to the Overview tab.
The More Details tab pulls directly from your standard Salesforce Page Layout. This means you can control the fields displayed in this tab by updating the Page Layout assigned to the Quote object.

What Can I Customize in More Details?
- Reorder fields.
- Add fields.

If the standard QuoteX tabs do not provide the layout you need, you can use the Build Your Own Feature (BYOF) tool.
BYOF allows you to design a custom component from scratch and use that design as its own dedicated tab within the Timeline.
