Accidentally/overlooked to create second signature request

Add a Second Signer After the First Signer Has Already Signed in DRTE

Question: I was supposed to create 2 E Signature requests on a document, but I accidentally overlooked it and created just Signature1 and began the workflow. The first signer has already signed the document. Adding Signature2 later from the DRTE editor does not bring the already signed content into the request document. What should I do?

Step-by-Step Solution

Step 1: Open the signed document record. Navigate to the E Signature Log / Signed Document record created under the Signature1 E Signature Request record. Notice that Signee 1 has signed.

Step 2: Validate the Signature 2 placeholders. Also validate that the placeholders for Signee 2 (Signature 2) exist on the response document.

Step 3: Request the next signer. After all validations are complete, click Request Next Signer and associate the Signature 2 contact and placeholder to add a new signature request for the document.

Step 4: Link the requests and send. On the newly created Signature 2 request record, create a link to the Signature 1 request record through the Only After Signing field. Then click the Send Signature Request button. Done. Your second signee receives a signature request for the document, including the signature from the first signee.

Step 5: Verify the linking. Notice the correct linking now on the document record page.

The document record page shows the correct linking between the two signature requests.
