QuoteX Roll-Up Not Updating: Timeline Resource, Other Cost & Quote Totals
This article explains why child roll-up values in QuoteX may not refresh on parent quote fields, and the steps to check and resolve the issue.

Symptoms
You may see one or more of the following in a sandbox or production org:
- Changes to resource hours on a timeline record do not consistently appear on the corresponding Quote fields.
- Items added to the Other Cost tab on the Resource component do not update Total Other Fees on the Timeline.
- The totals correct themselves only after the Timeline Resource record is manually re-saved.
How the Roll-Up Works
QuoteX data syncs upward through the following chain. If a step in the chain is blocked, the totals above it will not update.

Resolution Steps
1. Confirm you are on the latest version. QuoteX v1.85 significantly improves roll-up performance. If production is still on v1.79, upgrade it to v1.85 and retest.
2. Check for custom update triggers. Confirm whether your team has built any customization on update triggers for the QuoteX objects (Timeline Resource, Quote and Quote Request) that could block the roll-up from flowing through the chain above.
3. Verify the PSC Setup status setting. Open PSC Setup and confirm every required status is defined in PSC Status to update quote summary. You can enter multiple statuses as a comma-separated list to allow the quote summary sync on the Quote Request.
4. Retest with a fresh record. Records created before v1.85 may be un-synced. Create a new quote record and change the resource hours (for example, from 2 to 5). Where the record is new, the change is expected to sync correctly.
