Field Highlighter - Glow
Field Highlighter - Glow is a Lightning component that makes a chosen field on a record page glow so users notice it instantly. Follow the steps below to set it up, and optionally apply a filter so the field glows only when your condition is met.
What you will achieve: add the component to a record page, point it at a field, and control when it glows using Salesforce native filters.
Step 1: Add the Component to the Record Page
Drag and drop the Field Highlighter - Glow component onto the record page.

Step 2: Define the Field API Name
Enter the field in the format ObjectApiName.FieldApiName (for example, Lead.Company).
Field API Name entered in the component properties.
Step 3: Save and Verify
Save the record page, then open a Lead record. The field now glows highlighted.

Success: if the field glows on the record, your setup is complete.
Conditional Glow Using Native Filters
Use the Salesforce native filter to control when the field should glow. In this example, the Company field on the Lead record page glows only when the Title of the Lead is CFO.
Native filter configured so the component displays only when Title equals CFO.
When the Lead Title is CFO, the Company field starts glowing.
Other Use Cases
The same pattern works for many scenarios. Set the Field API Name, then add a native filter for the condition.
- High-value deals: glow Opportunity Amount when it is above a threshold, for example over $100K.
- Stale or at-risk records: glow Opportunity Close Date when it has passed, or Next Step when it is blank.
- Case urgency: glow Case Priority or Severity when it is P1 or Critical.
- Lead qualification: glow Lead Score, or Status when it is Qualified, so reps spot hot leads.
- Missing data: glow a required field such as Phone or Email when it is empty, so users fill it in.
- Compliance or approvals: glow Approval Status or a Legal Review flag when it needs attention.
- Account health: glow Account Rating or Customer Tier for VIP or churn-risk accounts.
Tip: use the native filter so the glow appears only when the condition is true. A field that always glows quickly stops getting attention.
