The Draft Scopes Using ChatGPT add-on for QuoteX provides a guided approach to drafting scope descriptions by leveraging ChatGPT. This feature helps users generate structured scope content with minimal effort by facilitating AI-powered assistance in an external ChatGPT session.

Installation and Setup

Prerequisites

• This add-on package requires QuoteX version 1.75 or higher to be installed.
• An active license for QuoteX is necessary to install this add-on. If you do not have an active license, installation will not be possible.
• If you have an active license but your current version of QuoteX is below 1.75, you must upgrade to version 1.75 or higher before you can install this add-on.

Use the installation URL to proceed with the installation.

• Open the installation URL in your browser.
• Log in to the Salesforce org where you want to install the package.
• Select Install for All Users to apply the package with a sitewide license.
• Check the box for I acknowledge... since this managed package is not listed on AppExchange.
• Click Install to complete the process.

After successful installation, configure QuoteX to unlock its full capabilities.

Configuration & Setup

a) Enable the Feature for SMEs – Admins activate the add-on.

• Simply create a new tab in Scope Library record screen and drag and drop the Draft Library Scopes using ChatGPT component from left sidebar.

b) Enable feature for the end users

• Ability to use similar feature while creating scopes within the Quote Screen, Admins can add a record with the lightning component name as show below, making the tab active to be shown in Scope Size Effort module.

How It Works

• Define Your Requirement – Users input a brief description of the help they need within the QuoteX interface.
• Generate Prompt – The system creates a structured prompt in the background and copies it to the clipboard.
• Use ChatGPT – Users open a new chat in the free ChatGPT platform and paste the prompt into the chat box.
• Receive JSON Output – ChatGPT processes the prompt and generates a structured JSON output.
• Copy JSON & Paste into QuoteX – Users copy the AI-generated JSON and paste it back into the QuoteX interface.
• View as List – Clicking 'View Scopes as List' converts the JSON into structured scope items.
• Finalize Scope – Users review and add the generated scope items to the scope list in QuoteX.
