Installation and Setup
Prerequisites
- This add-on package requires QuoteX version 1.75 or higher to be installed.
- An active license for QuoteX is necessary to install this add-on. If you do not have an active license, installation will not be possible.
- If you have an active license but your current version of QuoteX is below 1.75, you must upgrade to version 1.75 or higher before you can install this add-on.
With the installation URL provided, you now have 15 days to set up and trial the package. Use this URL to proceed with the installation.
- Open the installation URL in your browser.
- Log in to the Salesforce org where you want to install the package.
- Select Install for All Users to apply the package with a sitewide license.
- Check the box for I acknowledge... since this managed package is not listed on AppExchange.
- Click Install to complete the process.
After successful installation, configure QuoteX to unlock its full capabilities.
Configure the Pull Past Tab for Additional Scope Tab.
- Open the PSC Additional Scope Tab custom metadata type.
- Add a new record to include the Pull Past tab.
- Set the value for the Lightning Component field to "psce_ext:PSC_Analogous_Scoping".
- This ensures that the component dynamically loads in the Scope Size Effort view as a new tab.
Configure the Pull Past Tab for Additional Schedule Tab.
- Open the PSC Additional Schedule Tab custom metadata type.
- Add a new record to include the Pull Past tab.
- Set the value for the Lightning Component field to "psce_ext:PSC_AnalogousScheduling".
- This ensures that the component dynamically loads in the Timeline view as a new tab.
Congratulations That's it, your Pull Past feature is configured for both Scopes and Timeline.

Pull Past for Scope Size Effort
- Access the Feature
- Navigate to the Scope Size Effort section.
- Locate the Pull Past tab within this section.
Retrieve Past Quotes
- Click Pull Past to display a list of primary quotes owned by you (i.e., where you are defined as the owner in the custom field on the Overview tab of the quote).
- Use the search bar to find a specific quote by entering relevant keywords.
- Select the desired quote to proceed.
Select and Pull Scope Data
- On the next screen, all active scopes from the selected quote will be pre-checked and ready for import.
- Click Proceed and then Finish to complete the process.
Review the Imported Data
- Navigate to the Scope Size Effort tab.
- You will see that all scopes, along with their associated efforts, have been successfully imported.
- This feature helps save time by leveraging historical quote data while ensuring consistency across projects.
Pull Past for Timeline
Create a Blank Timeline
- Begin by setting up a new, blank timeline.
Initiate Pull Past
- Click the Pull Past tab.
- Review the on-screen disclaimer and click Start.
Select a Past Quote
- Search for a relevant past quote from the list.
- Click Next and then select the appropriate timeline.
Finalize and Review
- Click Proceed to initiate the data pull.
- Once processing is complete, the page will refresh automatically.
- The selected timeline from the past quote will now be available for use.
