Step-by-Step Execution

Phase I: Document Intake and Centralization

  1. Create a E Signature Log record without defining E Signature Request.
  2. Locate the DRTE Document Component on the page layout.
  3. Upload the external PDF by dragging the file into the upload zone or selecting "Upload Files."
  4. Verify the upload by ensuring the file appears in the open document section.

Phase II: Template Preparation and Field Mapping

  1. Launch the DRTE Editor by clicking "Sign/Prepare" next to the uploaded document.
  2. Review the document for existing signature blocks or blank spaces provided by the sender.
  3. Deploy functional fields from the sidebar onto the document:
    1. Signature/Initial Fields: Place these in the designated signature area for the internal or external signer.
    2. Date Fields: Place adjacent to signature lines to ensure automatic timestamping upon execution.
    3. Data Fields: Use text boxes for any required manual entries (e.g., Title, Department, or Purchase Order numbers).
  4. Assign each field to the appropriate place in the document.

Phase III: Execution

  1. Perform a final review of field placements to ensure alignment and legibility.
  2. Select Confirm and Save to initiate the signature workflow.
  3. Upon execution, the system will automatically route the completed document to the salesforce files.
