Q: Can I change the layout or reorder the elements in the Timeline Overview?

A: The Overview tab is a specialized component built to handle complex calculations, so its core structure and layout are fixed. While you can't move the existing elements around, you have two great options to get the specific view your team needs:

Option 1: Customize the "More Details" Tab

If your goal is to see specific fields in a different order, use the More Details tab located right next to the Overview.

• How it works: This tab pulls directly from your standard Salesforce Page Layout.
• What you can do: You can reorder, add, or remove fields by updating the Page Layout assigned to the Quote object.
• Pro Tip: Avoid editing core QuoteX fields here, as it might affect the automated calculations in the main Overview.

Option 2: Build a Custom View (BYOF)

If you need a completely unique layout that the standard tabs don't offer, you can use the Build Your Own Feature (BYOF) tool.

• How it works: This allows you to design a custom component from scratch.
• Result: You can plug this new design into the timeline as its own dedicated tab, giving your users exactly the layout they’re asking for without breaking the standard Overview.
