This add-on is provided at no additional cost to all active QuoteX Subscribers.
Introduction
This guide will walk you through installing, setup, configuring and through the process of promoting selected scopes from your quotes to a new Scope Library. This feature allows you to convert scopes from your service quotes into a dedicated library for future use, ensuring that your scopes are organized and easily accessible.

Installation and Setup
Prerequisites
- This add-on package requires PSC QuoteX version 1.75 or higher to be installed.
- An active license for PSC QuoteX is necessary to install this add-on. If you do not have an active license, installation will not be possible.
- If you have an active license but your current version of PSC QuoteX is below 1.75, you must upgrade to version 1.75 or higher before you can install this add-on.
Setup & Configure
After successful installation, you just need to follow few steps and you are ready to use Add-On featuer 'Promote Quote's Scopes As Library'.
- Step 1: Go to Setup > Search for 'meta' > Find 'PSC Additional Scopes Tab' custom metadata type.
- Step 2: Manage Records and add a new record with below details:
- Label: Promote As Library
- PSC Additional Scope Tab Name: Promote_as_Library
- Tab Name: Promote AS Library
- Lightning Component With Namespace: psce_ext:PSC_PromoteScopesToLibrary
- Is Active: Checked
- Order: 2 (this is org specific, enter it accordingly)

Step-by-Step Instructions to Use
1. Access Your Quote
- Navigate to the Quotes section within your Salesforce environment.
- Select the quote that contains the scopes you want to promote.
- Notice the new tab appears with the name 'Promote As Library'
- Read the screen introduction and Click on Let's, Get Started
2. Add Scope Library Name and Select Scopes
- Enter the Scope Library Name and push 'Next, Add Scope(s)'
- Locate the list of scopes (note that these are current quote's scopes).
- Choose the scopes you wish to promote to a new Scope Library. You can select multiple scopes as needed.
3. Promote to New Scope Library
- Click on the "Save as Draft Library" button.
- After successful creation of library a message will appear, confirming you with the SFDC record ID of new library.
4. Review and Approval
- The new Scope Library will be created in draft status.
- Navigate to the Scope Libraries section to locate your newly created library.
- Review the scopes in the draft library.
- Submit for Approval: Share the draft library with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for review and approval.
- Once approved, the library will be activated for future use.
Tips
- Ensure all selected scopes are relevant and accurately defined before promoting to avoid unnecessary revisions.
- Regularly review and update your Scope Libraries to keep them aligned with current projects and requirements.
5. Finalizing the Library
- After approval, the draft status will be updated, and the Scope Library will become active.
- You can now manage, edit, or use the scopes within the active Scope Library as needed.
Troubleshooting
No Scopes Found: If you encounter a message indicating that no scopes were found, ensure that scopes have been created and are associated with the quote.
Error Creating Library: If an error occurs, note the error details and contact your system administrator for support.
